With a total output of 650 MWp in the final stage of construction, the Witznitz Energy Park, south of Leipzig, is by far the largest solar park in Germany. The site covers 500 hectares, the equivalent of around 700 football pitches. 1.1 million solar modules were installed using the GMS® MAX mounting system from MKG Göbel. Here, the GMS® MAX system was able to show off its advantages: unlimited scalability, efficient construction, ground-protecting installation – and, above all, unrivalled short installation times thanks to the innovative ASSEMBLY 2.0 process. MKG Göbel built part of the system itself. For the other sub-projects, we licensed the GMS® MAX system and trained and advised the respective partners.
