For the state teaching and research institute for viticulture and fruit growing, we already built the second system that combines solar power with fruit growing. The aim here is to study how cherries develop under an Agri PV system. For this reason, modules with varying transparency of up to 77% were used to show the effects of different light conditions.
We were able to meet special requirements such as protection from rain, insects and birds through technical innovations such as overlapping the modules in the ridges and eaves, and adaptation options for fly protection nets. We also integrated a 6 m headland at the edge of the system to allow tractors etc. to turn within the protective nets.
