We build outdoors – even in winter: the first solar park of the year 2016 has just been built in Japan. A particular challenge in the process was the heavy snowfall.
The photovoltaic power plant was set up in the middle of an industrial park on the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido. Every winter there is quite a lot of snow in this region, so that the power plant had to be built on a four-meter tall base frame. At that height, the solar modules could not be lifted by hand as usual, but an assembly carriage had to be used instead.
